About Some Things..

(How I feel REALLY)

First - the website

My goal is to create a commonspace where my thoughts and contributions to society can be shared. I would like to thank the freedom of speech creators and modern-day proponents of this ideal for this opportunity. (Pay a visit to savetheinternet.com if you're interested - freepress.net is also behind this.)

My perspective comes from what I considered hard-lessons learned and from years of disregarding the opinions from people who could not substantiate their cases or whose causes appeared self-righteous. My status is really that I am little more than a concerned, financially-limited, altruistic individual seeking to reward our next generation with the same comforts I was afforded.

In order to do that, I have always remained dedicated to being a new face for commitment to selflessness, behaving like an "international citizen" should, and to improving life through daily actions.

Here's a quote I found inspiring that talks to my perspective somewhat..

"I do not pretend to give such a Sum; I only lend it to you. When you [...] meet with another honest Man in similar Distress, you must pay me by lending this Sum to him; enjoining him to discharge the Debt by a like operation, when he shall be able, and shall meet with another opportunity. I hope it may thus go thro' many hands, before it meets with a Knave that will stop its Progress. This is a trick of mine for doing a deal of good with a little money."

update 03/23/10: I am a proponent of openness and solid principle. I support the guidance of the Declaration of Human Rights), and believe with transparency and discourse, many items can be resolved. With respect and truthfulness being the tenets upon which equality and sustainability are built, I support the US' PMA for Open Governance and look forward to finding out how the Federal agencies performance records improve (..or not :)) b/c of it.

Work/Economics

Perhaps this article does not describe my perspective in an entirely in-depth manner, but it touches on the issue. A globalized perspective requires taking on responsibility for ones position in the market and state of circumstances. My view is that knowledge is the skill that will be required for the future and technology will enable application of this skill for future generations of workers..(read more..)
